If you’re looking to return or exchange your order for whatever reason, we're here to help! We offer free returns or exchanges within 30 days of receiving your order. You can return your product for store credit, a different product, or a refund to the original payment method.

Please note the following exceptions to our return and exchange policy:

  • Discounted items are final and cannot be returned or exchanged
  • Returned items must have tags still on and be returned in original packaging
  • Returned items must have no visible signs of wear or use
  • Perishable goods such as food, candy and magazines cannot be returned. 
    Additional non-returnable items: 
    Gift cards 
    Downloadable software products 
    Some health and personal care items

Online Returns

How do I send my return back?

To complete a return or exchange of eligible items, please follow the instructions on the packing slip included with your order or bring it to one of our stores. For an exchange, please make sure to also indicate the desired item number(s) and proper sizing (if applicable).

You can visit our Returns Center at returns.legacytoys.com to start the return process.

In the event you no longer have your original packing slip, please print a copy of your Order Confirmation email and indicate your return or exchange request and include it with your package. Be sure to include your name, address, email and phone number so we can confirm the origin of the order.

Legacy Toys does not pay to ship back returns or exchanges. You may return your package to one of our stores or via the carrier of your choice, however; we suggest using a service that provides delivery confirmation and offers the option to put insurance on your package for the value of the item(s) enclosed.

Original shipping and handling charges (including customs fees, broker fees and tariffs for international shipments) are non-refundable.

When will I receive my refund?

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. 

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 2-5 business days.

My refund is late or missing?
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. 
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us via our Help Desk.

How do I exchange an item?
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, please contact us via our Help Desk.

How do I exchange a gift I received?
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, an e-gift card will be e-mailed to you. Please provide your email address when returning the item.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

Are there any online return exceptions?

No credit or item exchange will be issued until we have reviewed the returned item and it is found to be in new, unused, unlaundered condition (if applicable), with all original tags attached and original packaging and parts included. If an item is returned in a condition that is not new and has been used or damaged, (including but not limited to being dirty, soiled, with hair, laundered, or damaged by smoke smell or liquids) no credit, refund, or other compensation will be issued.

Sales are final for all custom items, as well as bargain cave or clearance items. Clearance items are products which are located in the Bargain Cave category, are marked with the "clearance" tag on the product page, and/or for which the customer received a discount of 30% or more from the regular item price. No returns are accepted or refunds/credits allowed for bargain cave and clearance items. Bargain cave and clearance items are limited to stock on hand.

How long will my refund take?

Please allow 7-14 business days for the arrival of your order and the processing of your exchange or refund once mailed.

Most unopened items in new condition and returned within 30 days will receive a refund or exchange. Items that are opened or damaged or do not have a receipt may be denied a refund or exchange. 

Are there any In Store Return Exceptions?

Holiday items, limited time only collections and clearance items may have modified return policies. Open or defective collectibles (e.g., special edition dolls, action figures, blind bags) cannot be returned. Personalized items cannot be returned. Candy, soda, food and perishable items may not be returned. If your game or puzzle is missing any pieces, the manufacturer will usually send them at no charge directly to you. If you have any problems we’re happy to assist with getting it resolved.

Will I get a refund if I return an item purchased as part of a BOGO promotion?

When purchasing items as part of a Buy One Get One (BOGO) promotion, the promotional discount is based on the lowest priced item, then applied to each item proportionately. If you choose to return any of the items, your refund will be reduced to the discounted amount for each item.

Some examples include

  • Buy One, Get One Free: If your first qualifying item is $60 and your second qualifying item is $40, the $60 item will be sold at full price and the $40 item will be discounted by $40, which gives a total discount of $40. If either item is returned, the return value will be equal to the original purchase price reduced by the discount.
  • Buy One, Get One 50% Off: If your first qualifying item is $60 and your second qualifying item is $40, the $60 item will be sold at full price and the $40 item will be discounted by $20, which gives a total discount of $20. If either item is returned, the return value will be equal to the original purchase price reduced by the discount.
